ANETIE WAS CREATED ON NOVEMBER 29, 1994 AND BEGAN ITS ACTIVITY ON 1 JANUARY 1995 WITH 17 MEMBERS. TODAY, WITH MORE THAN 20 YEARS OF ACTIVITY, IT REPRESENTS MORE THAN ONE HUNDRED REFERENCE COMPANIES IN THE INFORMATION, COMMUNICATION AND ELECTRONIC TECHNOLOGY INDUSTRY.
ANETIE member companies represent around 500 million euros of turnover, encompassing close to 5000 employees in the sector and being present, directly or indirectly, in over 100 international markets.
ANETIE covers a significant and representative portion of ICT companies and is recognized as the national association of reference in this area, with significant activity also in the associative universe — being a CIP Member and Vice-President with representation in the Economic and Social Council, founding member of Tice.PT (Technology and Competitiveness Center), with a seat on the Board of Directors and various agreements and protocols with counterparts in other countries and regions.
Internationally, ANETIE has developed its strategy of influence through association with other highly representative international bodies. ANETIE is an associate member of WITSA (World Information Technologies and Services Alliance) and ALETI (Federation of Latin American, Caribbean, Spanish and Portuguese Associations of Information and Communication Technology Entities).
